Getting Started with Surveys

Surveys enable you to create interactive, branching questionnaires that adapt based on user responses. Perfect for customer feedback, lead qualification, user research, and more.

Survey Overview

When you navigate to the Surveys page, you'll see:

  • Dashboard Stats: View total surveys, active surveys, and total response counts at a glance
  • Survey List: A table of all your surveys with status, node count, and response counts
  • Quick Actions: Create new surveys, edit survey themes, and access documentation

Key Features

  • Decision Tree Logic: Create branching surveys where answers determine the next question
  • Multiple Question Types: Yes/No, Short Answer, Paragraph, Multiple Choice, Checkboxes, and Rating scales
  • Visual Builder: Drag-and-drop interface for connecting survey nodes
  • Analytics Dashboard: Track responses, completion rates, and user paths
  • Public Embedding: Share surveys via public links or embed in your application
  • API Access: Trigger surveys programmatically and retrieve response data

Survey Status

Surveys have two visibility states:

  • Live: The survey is publicly accessible and can receive responses
  • Draft: The survey is hidden from the public while you work on it

You can change a survey's status at any time from the survey list or bulk actions menu.

Permissions

Managing surveys (creating, editing, deleting) requires the surveys:manage or surveys:* permission scope.
