Setting Up Navigation

Overview

Navigation settings allow you to control which pages appear in the header menu and the order in which they're displayed. Use Global Settings to manage visibility and navigation for all pages at once.

Accessing Global Settings

  1. Go to your project dashboard
  2. Click Customization
  3. Click the Global Settings button in the top right
  4. The Global Settings panel opens on the right side

Page Visibility

Page Settings Options

Each page has three main settings:

  • Enabled - Turn the page on or off (disabled pages won't be accessible at all)
  • Public Access - Allow public visitors to view the page
  • Show in Navigation - Display a link to this page in the header menu

Configuring Page Visibility

  1. In Global Settings, click the Page Visibility tab
  2. Find the page you want to configure
  3. Toggle each setting on or off
  4. Public Access must be on for Show in Navigation to work
  5. Changes are saved automatically

Core Pages

The following pages are included by default:

  • Feedback - Feature requests and voting
  • Roadmap - Product roadmap display
  • Status - System status page
  • Releases - Changelog and release notes
  • Support - Support request form
  • Help Center - Documentation and FAQs
  • Blog - Blog posts and articles

Custom Pages

Any custom pages you create also appear in the Page Visibility settings. Configure them the same way as core pages.

Navigation Order

Reordering Navigation Items

  1. In Global Settings, click the Navigation tab
  2. Pages that have "Show in Navigation" enabled are displayed
  3. Drag and drop pages to reorder them
  4. The order updates immediately
  5. Changes are saved automatically

Navigation Behavior

  • Only public pages with "Show in Navigation" enabled appear in the menu
  • Drag and drop to change the order items appear in the header
  • The order applies across all pages with navigation
  • Disabled or private pages do not appear in navigation

Individual Page Settings

Accessing Page Settings

  1. On the main customization page, find the page card
  2. Click the Settings icon (gear) on the page card
  3. The Page Settings panel opens on the right

Page Settings Panel

In the Page Settings panel, you can configure:

  • Route - Set the custom URL path for this page
  • Enabled - Turn the page on or off
  • Public Access - Allow public visitors to view the page
  • Show in Navigation - Display in the header menu

Setting Custom Routes

  1. In Page Settings, find the Route field
  2. Enter a custom URL path (e.g., "/about-us")
  3. The full public URL is displayed below the field
  4. Save when done

Quick Actions

The Page Settings panel includes quick action buttons:

  • Customize Page - Jump to the page customization editor
  • View Public Page - Open the live page in a new tab

Best Practices

  • Keep navigation simple - Only show the most important pages in the header
  • Use clear labels - Page names should be self-explanatory
  • Logical ordering - Put frequently accessed pages first
  • Consider user journey - Guide users through your content in a logical flow
  • Keep it updated - Remove or disable pages that are no longer relevant

Product-Focused Navigation

  1. Roadmap (show what's coming)
  2. Releases (what's new)
  3. Feedback (user input)
  4. Support (get help)

Customer-Focused Navigation

  1. Help Center (find answers)
  2. Support (get help)
  3. Status (check if systems are working)
  4. Feedback (share ideas)

Company-Focused Navigation

  1. About Us
  2. Pricing
  3. Contact
  4. Blog

Troubleshooting

Page Not Showing in Navigation

  • Check that "Show in Navigation" is enabled
  • Verify "Public Access" is also enabled
  • Confirm the page is not disabled

Page Not Accessible

  • Check that the page is enabled
  • Verify "Public Access" is enabled
  • Confirm the route path is correct

Navigation Order Not Updating

  • Ensure you've saved your changes
  • Refresh the page to see updated navigation
  • Check that pages are still public and enabled
