Creating Custom Pages

Overview

Custom pages allow you to create additional pages for your public portal beyond the built-in pages. Use them for About Us, Pricing, Terms of Service, or any other content you need.

Creating a New Page

  1. Navigate to Customization - Go to your project dashboard and click Customization
  2. Click the + button - In the top right of the page selector, click the + button to create a new page
  3. Fill in page details:
    • Page Name - The display name (e.g., "About Us")
    • URL Slug - The URL-friendly identifier (e.g., "about-us")
    • Route Path - The full URL path (e.g., "/about-us")
    • Description - Optional description for your reference
  4. Click Create Page - Your new page is created and automatically saved

Editing Your Page

After creating a page, you can customize its content using the Canvas Editor:

  1. Select your page from the page selector
  2. Click Enable Canvas Editing to open the canvas editor
  3. Add blocks to build your page content:
    • Page Heading - Add a title and description for your page
    • Text - Add paragraphs, lists, and formatted text
    • Images - Add visual content
    • Buttons - Add call-to-action buttons
    • Separators - Add visual dividers between sections
  4. Drag and drop blocks to arrange your layout
  5. Use the layout options to create multi-column designs
  6. Click Exit Canvas Editing when done
  7. Save your changes

Page Settings

You can configure additional settings for each custom page:

  • Enabled - Turn the page on or off (disabled pages won't be accessible)
  • Public Access - Allow public visitors to view the page
  • Show in Navigation - Display a link to this page in the header menu
  • Custom Route - Set a custom URL path for the page

Deleting a Page

To remove a custom page:

  1. Click the Settings icon on the page card
  2. Click the Delete (trash) icon
  3. Confirm the deletion

Warning: Deleting a page cannot be undone.

Best Practices

  • Keep it focused - Each custom page should have a clear, single purpose
  • Use consistent styling - Match colors and fonts with your brand
  • Make it scannable - Use headings, lists, and short paragraphs
  • Add calls to action - Guide users to take next steps
  • Keep it updated - Review and refresh content regularly
