Monitoring runs & organizing automations

Recent runs

Every time an automation fires, it creates a run. Open the Recent runs tab on the Automations page to see runs across all your automations, newest first. To focus on one automation, open its menu and choose View runs.

Run statuses

  • Queued — accepted and waiting to start.

  • In progress — currently executing.

  • Success — every step finished without error.

  • Failure — a step errored, or a Fail run step stopped it.

  • Paused — the run is paused part-way through.

  • Cancelled — the run was stopped before it finished.

Each automation in the list also shows a running tally of how many times it has run and how many runs failed, so trouble is easy to spot at a glance.

Step logs

Open a run to see its step logs — a per-step breakdown of what happened, with each step's status (pending, running, succeeded, failed, or skipped) and its output. When a run fails, the logs are the fastest way to find which step broke and why. Outputs are also where you confirm a dynamic value resolved to what you expected.

Organizing with collections

As your list grows, group related automations into collections:

  • Click New collection on the Automations page, then give it a name and a color.

  • Drag an automation onto a collection, or use an automation's Move to collection menu.

  • Collapse a collection to tuck its automations out of the way.

Automations that aren't in any collection sit under Unfiled. Collections are purely organizational — they never change how or when an automation runs.

Finding things

Use the search box on the Automations page to filter automations by name across every collection at once.
